No. The game is fully free to play. Optional cosmetics (castle skins, banners) and the premium battle pass tier are sold. No pay-to-win mechanics.
No. The system deliberately requires the screen to be locked — that's how the "phone-free time" promise stays honest. Backgrounding the app while you use TikTok doesn't count.
